Bratislava Capitals Enter the New Year with Expanded North American Scouting Plans
As the calendar turns to the new year, the Bratislava Capitals are continuing to build momentum toward the future with a comprehensive scouting initiative across the United States and Canada.
With the Capitals’ long-term vision centered on identifying motivated, college-minded student-athletes, the organization will maintain an active presence at key North American events throughout the winter. These efforts are designed to evaluate players who align with the Capitals’ competitive standards, academic expectations, and pathway to European professional hockey.
January Scouting Focus
The Capitals’ scouting staff will begin the new year by attending the Northern Cyclones Showcase in January, an event that consistently attracts high-level junior and college-bound talent. The showcase provides an opportunity to evaluate players in a competitive environment while engaging directly with coaches, advisors, and families.
Later in the winter, the Capitals will also be present at the USPHL National Championships in Wayne, New Jersey, one of the premier end-of-season events in North American junior hockey. The Championships bring together top teams and players from across the league, offering a valuable platform for identifying athletes prepared for the next stage of their hockey and academic careers.
Scouts will also be attending the NCDC Finals, the South Shore Kings Presidents Day Showcase, along with various other Eastern Hockey League, and Canadian Junior A events between January and April.
Building the Future
These scouting initiatives reflect the Capitals’ ongoing commitment to recruiting players who are seeking a unique combination of high-level hockey, international education, and long-term career development. As part of the European college hockey model, the Bratislava Capitals offer student-athletes the opportunity to continue their development while earning a recognized university degree and gaining exposure to the European professional game.
The organization looks forward to engaging with players and families throughout the new year and continuing to build a strong foundation for upcoming seasons.
