Bratislava Capitals Receive Commitment from Goaltender Marcus Gomes

The Bratislava Capitals are proud to announce that goaltender Marcus Gomes has committed to the organization ahead of the upcoming season, adding skill, composure, and depth to the Capitals’ roster.

Gomes joins Bratislava after establishing himself as a reliable and competitive presence between the pipes in the NCDC, recognized for his athleticism, strong positioning, and ability to perform under pressure. His addition marks another important step in the Capitals’ efforts to build a team capable of competing at the highest level.

“We are excited to welcome Marcus to Bratislava,” said Hockey Director Joseph Kolodziej. “He is a hardworking goaltender with strong character and a team-first mentality. Marcus is a goaltender focused on details, and his experience from last season will bring a lot to our goaltender group. We believe he will be an excellent fit for our organization both on and off the ice.”

Gomes expressed enthusiasm about joining the Capitals and continuing his career in Bratislava.

“I’m honored to commit to the Bratislava Capitals,” said Gomes. “The organization has a strong vision for the future, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the team’s success, connecting with the fans, and representing our university and the city with pride.”

Gomes addition concludes the Capitals goaltender search.  With three capable student athletes, the Capitals will now look to wrap up the recruiting of forwards and defense in the coming weeks.
