Tommy Jacques Transfers from Johnson & Wales NCAA to Bratislava Capitals
BRATISLAVA, Slovakia — The Bratislava Capitals are pleased to announce the addition of forward Tommy Jacques, who joins the club from Johnson & Wales University.
Jacques brings valuable NCAA experience to the Capitals as he continues his academic and athletic journey in Europe. During his time at Johnson & Wales, he developed a reputation for his work ethic, commitment to team success, and competitive approach on the ice.
"We are excited to welcome Tommy to the Bratislava Capitals," said Hockey Director Joseph Kolodziej. "His experience competing in NCAA hockey will be a tremendous asset to our program. Tommy's character, leadership qualities, and passion for the game align perfectly with what we are building here. His playing experience on Olympic ice for two years while playing junior is invaluable. He is a penalty kill and face off specialist who brings a complete game to Bratislava."
The move represents a unique opportunity for Jacques to continue playing high-level university hockey while gaining international experience in Slovakia and competing in the European University College Hockey League (EUCHL).
"I am grateful for everything Johnson & Wales provided me," said Jacques. "The coaches, teammates, and staff helped me grow both as a player and as a person. I'm excited for this next chapter with the Bratislava Capitals and look forward to contributing to the team's success while experiencing a new culture and hockey environment."
The Bratislava Capitals continue to strengthen their roster ahead of the upcoming EUCHL season and believe Jacques will make an immediate impact within the program both on and off the ice.
